As much as we love our UTVs, they never truly become ours until we trick them out! There's a huge UTV aftermarket parts market, but you always owe it to yourself to do your research  before you make any large purchases. When it comes to aftermarket parts, you usually get what you pay for. But that definitely doesn't mean that the most expensive accessory is always the best, Here are a few great accessories to help you customize your UTV or side-by-side. To learn more, visit us at Langston Motorsports in Perris, California, serving Temecula and Orange County, California.

Skid Plates

A skid plate protects your undercarriage from rocks and roots, and is a great upgrade for riders who really want to go off the beaten path. Most UTVs come with a stock skid plate, but you can find some really tough plates that will help you tear through the mud  without worrying about getting stuck on the rocks. It’s also not a bad idea to invest in a reinforced bumper.

Roof

A roof on your UTV protects you from the elements, and also gives your ride a touch of class. A fabric roof is a cheap and easy way to keep a lot of mud out of your seats, and you can also find  durable roofs manufactured from plastic or aluminum. Be sure that any aftermarket roof that you purchase is recommended for your model of UTV.

 Doors

Aftermarket UTV doors are another great way to protect your cabin from dust and rain. They’re easy to install, and don’t add a lot of extra weight. Add a roof and a collapsible folding windshield and you can have a fully enclosed cabin!

Gas Cans

Extra gas containers or Jerry cans don’t take up very much space in your side-by-side and they can really help you extend your range and duration of your rides. You can explore as much as you want without having to constantly run back to base camp to refuel.

Rear View Mirrors

A rear view mirror is invaluable when you’re backing up or trying to maneuver through a tight space. Unlike car mirrors, aftermarket UTV mirrors can be positioned just about anywhere that’s convenient on your roll cage or built-in windscreen. In addition to using your mirror for navigation, it’s also a very effective way to keep an eye on all of your cargo and gear as you hit the bumpy roads.
